very evening at sunset the "Little Penguins" return to Summerland Beach and waddle up to their burrows - just as their ancestors have done for thousands of generations. They file straight past eager visitors who sit on the sand or raised platforms in anticipation of the night's performance.

One of the most spectacular areas of Phillip Island is the western tip. It's a great place for lovers of rugged coastal scenery, especially on wild, windy days when it's exhilarating to stand on Port Grant and watch the waves crashing against the Nobbies as the blow hole thunders in the cliffs below.

Visiting the Koala Conservation Centre is a great opportunity to see koalas up close and learn more about this much loved native Australian.
