Melbourne Private Tours has recently undertaken a number of initiatives in order to do our bit in preserving the environment and reducing the impact of carbon dioxide gasses that contribute to climate change and global warming…

Recycle…

All paper used for the purpose of promotional material has been switched to Envirocare 100% Recycled. This is 100% environmentally friendly paper manufactured entirely from waste paper. The paper is elemental chlorine free and the special grades of waste content used are difficult to recycle and include carbonless and thermal papers that would otherwise go to landfill

Renew…

We are switching to Green Power. Green Power is clean renewable energy sourced from the sun, the wind, water and waste and is a great investment in cleaner environment. It is generated from government accredited renewable energy sources.

Offset…

We have recently become a member of Green Fleet. The Greenfleet Fund will plant 17 native trees for every MPT vehicle, which will in turn offset around 4.3 CO2-e tones of greenhouse emissions. Trees will be planted in river catchments in our home state, of Victoria , and will also create essential habitat and help to tackle the widespread problem of salinity.

We see these simple initiatives as our small way to try and make a difference…
